Accessible on foot from the centre of the village of La Chapelle d'Abondance, the Blanchet trail allows you to discover the forest environment: species present, forest management, the landscapes of the Abondance valley.
Sapicéa, a small imaginary character, will help you discover this environment with content adapted to families.
From the village, you will follow the Chevenne road which runs alongside a stream lined with old chalets. You will walk along a deer park, perhaps you will see them.
You will then join the Blanchet path in the forest, along the way, five informative and entertaining panels will teach you more about the flora and the surrounding landscapes.
This path will lead you to the Côte where you can admire the valley and the surrounding peaks such as the Cornettes de bise, Mont de Grange, Mont Chauffé or the Dents du Midi.
You will then reach the centre of the village.

0/ Departure point: centre of the village of La Chapelle d'Abondance - Tourist Office. 1/ Take the "Chevenne" road. 2/ Walk for about 150 metres then take the "Blanchet" path on your right. 3/ Go down the path to the "Côte" and then the place called "Les Thoules". 4/ You will come back to the starting point through the centre of the village.

From 15/04 to 30/11. Accessible outside the snowy period and depending on the weather conditions. Please contact the Tourist Office beforehand to find out the current access conditions. Recommended season: spring - summer - autumn.
