Park in the car park on the far side of Les Étages. Walk down through the hamlet to the bridge that crosses the Vénéon at the bottom and then follow the signs to "Vallon des Étages". Take the path on the right and go up the glacial rock bar until you reach the start of the valley. You can go to the foot of the moraine to admire the cirque created by the glacier and the summit, called "La Pointe du Vallon des Étages". Turning round, you can see the Vallon du Soreiller and the Aiguille Dibona on the other side of the Vénéon valleys. Some summers, there is a drove of donkeys in the valley. You can also cross over the Vallon des Etages stream to go down on the other side to Les Etages.
