Refuge camped on a ridge, itself located in a valley at 2350 meters altitude. Several peaks around, face off, south, between the tip and the Ambin culminating Scolette to 3508 meters, the Longe Coast in the middle. - Provision for restoration of biological or locally - A single refueling by helicopter and the rest on the back.

From the refuge of Fond Aussois - Pointe Observatoire (return) 6h - Rateau Aussois (return) 6h. - Lake Genepy, return home to the Dent Parrachée 4h. Hiking over several days: Tour of the Vanoise Glaciers four days - Tour of the Pointe de l'Echelle 3 days.
