The Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB is a mountain bike ride between 1000 and 2450 m altitude, in France and Switzerland, to discover the fabulous Moutain Bike area of the Portes du Soleil and its magnificent landscapes.
The route takes in between 13 and 15 lifts in the area, depending on the year (of the 24 open all summer). There are a few variants to go up on a mountain bike for the strongest and to go down on more technical slopes for the most experienced. The tour takes place on a single day, with participants choosing to ride on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
The loop is about 80km long with a downhill profile, about 6000m of D- and 1000m of D+.
This year, Morzine Avoriaz is hosting the mountain bike show with over 200 internationally renowned brands and free bike tests.

The Pass'Portes can also be done on an "e-MTB", on the classic course or on a special course off the beaten track. And don’t forget, the Pass'Portes trade show, which is held each year in a different resort of the Portes du Soleil, where you’ll find the latest equipment from around sixty exhibitors including the biggest brands in bicycles, accessories and textiles.
Pass'Portes Kids - a special event for 9-14year olds supervised by trained instructors. €27 entrance fee, starting from Les Gets, Morzine or Châtel on Saturday and Sunday.
The Pass'Portes Pedestre - A walking Pass'Portes event for those travelling with MTB Pass'Porters! Marked but not accompanied walks starting from the 5 resort villages will run in parallel to the main MTB event. Depending on the route, enjoy tastings at local farms, see some of the local wildlife, learn about the Chablais Geopark from guides..." People with disabilities who wish to attend the event are requested to contact the Tourist Office 48 hours prior the event in order welcome them in the best conditions possible.
