"I learned about vines and wine at Château Gilette in Sauternes, Domaine Tempier in Bandol and Ridge Vineyards in California.
My desire to return to the region to produce quality wines began at the end of the 1990s. I was able to fulfil this dream by setting up in Saint-Chef in 2005, recovering my uncle's wines.
At the time, the vineyard was not large enough to be awarded
winemaker status and obtain planting rights, it was therefore necessary to
rent other plots, often a long way away, badly orientated or in poor condition, in fact, the vineyards no-one else wanted... The estate has been created from vineyards belonging to 20 different owners...!
In 2003, the entire estate was removed and replanted exclusively using local varieties: Altesse, Verdesse, Jacquère, Viognier, Persian, Mondeuse, and Mècle!
In 2005, a 250m2 cellar was built in alveolar terracotta bricks, with a Dauphiné style roof.
Today, the vineyard has been restructured, the bad plots have been
eliminated and the estate is now 5.5 hectares. Other planting projects are underway such as the reintroduction of ancient grape varieties.
From 01/01 to 31/12, daily.
