The course is imposed in order to have a real time follow-up of the ranking for the competitors and spectators. Each day, before 8pm, the competitors must reach a refuge to have dinner and spend the night there. The pilots can take advantage of the evenings to share their days, their experiences and why not exchange on the possible strategies for the next day. It is one of the 5 world cup stages on the world walking and flying circuit. It is also part of the French walking and flying circuit.
