Perched at an altitude of 1500m above the Chamonix valley, the Merlet alpine pasture amazes you with its breathtaking panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif. Merlet then immerses you in its vast animal area, the time of an easy hike, through forest and sunny meadows, marked by its old traditional mountain chalets. The unusual proximity with its numerous animals surprises and almost makes you forget their wild character... The species to discover: ibex, sika deer, llama, mouflon, marmot, chamois and fallow deer!
WINTER : An intimate snowshoeing tour in small groups of 8 people, supervised by a mountain leader, to allow you to discover Merlet from behind the scenes, to appreciate the calm of the snowy spaces and to approach the animals in the best conditions. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 5pm, from the end of December to mid-March, depending on snow and weather conditions. Reservations are required directly with the guide at 06 78 50 03 96, the day before before 5pm at the latest. 38€ /adult, 25€ /child up to 12 years old (children are accepted from 8 years old only). The equipment (snowshoes + sticks) is included in this price.
SUMMER : Short hike in the middle of the mountain, 2 to 3 hours of visit.
Many benches and deckchairs punctuate the visit. The altiport, a large flat lawn, also allows you to lie down.
At any time, discover the exhibition rooms and video projections, the souvenir store, the fun and educational stages and the guided tour in 4 languages on your smartphone! In July and August, depending on the weather and the agenda, free activities are offered in the afternoon: the mountain and its secrets, wood and horns, predators, "Merlet what a story! Fun trail, exhibition room and video projection, animations, restaurant and store.
