Amélie and Arnaud welcome you to their new guest rooms in Varambon, near river Ain, just 5 min. from motorway exit. Wooden staircase to 2nd floor: guest leisure area and 3 bedrooms (soft colours, uncluttered décor). Gourmandise family suite (shades of plum) with 2 bedrooms (queen-size bed) (two 90x200cm beds) separated by bathroom, separate WC. Cocon room in shades of chocolate (two 90x200cm beds) with shower room, WC. Le Petit Prince room (shades of blue), rather unusual with two separate sleeping areas: queen-size bed in one part and, beyond that, another 'hidden' part (90x200cm bed), shower room/WC. |Breakfast served on terrace or in garden in summer, or in light & airy living room with lovely fireplace. Book ahead for table d'hôte meals, based on local produce and prepared by Amélie. Summer activities include canoeing/kayaking, different footpaths to explore. Bourg-en-Bresse (25km) with its Royal Monastery at Brou and Apothecary, park/bird sanctuary at Villars-les-Dombes (3,000 birds of 300 different species on 35 hectare site), one of the largest such collections in Europe.
