Montferrand-la-Fare is a remote little village in peaceful countryside setting, at heart of Les Baronnies Provençales Regional Nature park, between Les Hautes-Alpes and the Drôme Provençale. 15 min. from Rémuzat and Rosans, the hills and mountains are an incredible 'playground'. Wild natural setting with a rich cultural heritage (old villages, Romanesque churches, calades - narrow, cobbled streets, ruins, castles/châteaux). River swimming/bathing possible in several places plus Le Pas des Ondes lake (swimming, fishing) 20 min. away. Nature lovers will appreciate the fact that Les Baronnies Provençales Regional Nature park has one of the skies in France (or Europe) best protected from light pollution, with an excellent nocturnal environment and wonderful starry nights. La Bergerie des Moutons Blancs is a charming, simple and comfortable cottage tucked away in centre of village. Ground floor: living room/lounge with open-plan kitchen, bathroom, separate WC. 1st floor (accessed via ladder in lounge): 2 bedrooms (double bed) (queen-size bed) – this floor can also be accessed using outside staircase. Lovely large terrace with fine view of hills. Given the ladder to access upper floor, La Bergerie des Moutons Blancs is totally unsuitable for children under 3, elderly people and those with reduced mobility.
