The different races on the programme of this latest edition of the 6000D:

- The 6000D: 67km for 3400m elev. gain:
A legendary race that was the first of its kind, the 6000D remains a challenge for most trail runners. It is no mean feat to climb from the apple orchards to the glacier! Elevation gain of 3400m over a course of 67km. The route takes the runners from the village of Aime La Plagne in the valley to the top of Bellecôte glacier at 3047m, going through La Plagne's high altitude resorts then down through the forest at Montchavin Les Coches and finishing along the Isère river. - The 6000D 2 person relay:
From 2018, the 6000D was opened up to as many people as possible and was proposed in a 2-person relay format to offer greater access to this reference race in the world of trail running.
A legendary race and the first of its kind, the 6000D remains a challenge for most trail runners. It is no mean feat to climb from the apple orchards to the glacier! So in the 2022 edition, you can run it in a 2-person relay team with a handover at Roche de Mio.

The route takes the runners from the village of Aime La Plagne in the valley to the top of Bellecôte glacier at 3047m, going through La Plagne's high altitude resorts then down through the forest at Montchavin Les Coches and finishing along the Isère river. A high-quality marked course, 95% on paths and tracks.

- The 6D Marathon: 42km with 2000m of elev. gain:
Individual challenge, open to all
You know about marathons on the flat and on tarmac, now come and discover a marathon run on mountain trails. On the programme, 42km and elevation gain of 2000m. The route takes runners from the village of Aime la Plagne in the valley to Les Blanchets lake at 2363m altitude, passing through La Plagne's high altitude resorts then going down through the forest at Montchavin les Côches and finishing along the Isère river. This new course is an update of the original route of the 6000D with the first climb following the initial route from 1990. A high-quality marked course, 95% on paths and tracks.

- The 6D Lacs: 28km for 1500m elev. gain:
Starting and finishing in Plagne Bellecôte, this 28km trail race with 1500m elevation gain is somewhat less demanding than the 6000D.
The route, which follows the 6000D, branches off at the Dérochoir to go towards Plan Bois (without going up to the glacier). It then climbs up on the Arpette to join the 6000D route and goes down to Plagne Bellecôte.

- The 6 Découverte: 11km for 600m elev. gain:
The 6 Découverte is a race where the general public (beginners, novices, experienced runners and juniors) can participate in the big weekend of the 6000D.
This course takes you through La Plagne's high altitude resorts on footpaths.
Starting and finishing in Plagne Centre, the 11km route includes 600m of elevation gain. You set off in the direction of Plagne Villages and join Plagne Bellecôte.
Then you climb to the Dou du Praz on a footpath and go down towards the Lac Vert before climbing to Plagne Aime 2000 and coming back down to the finish in Plagne Centre.

- The 6D Bob: an original climb:
Based on the concept of a "straight climb", the competitors climb La Plagne's legendary Olympic bobsleigh track from bottom to top, on an average gradient of 8.2% with a maximum of 14%!

- The 6D Kids: 500 to 3000 m:
The 6D Kids is an event where children can participate in the big 6000D weekend.
At the bottom of the slopes in Plagne Centre, the 500m circuits are completed once or several times depending on age category.

- The 6D Aventure: Treasure Hunt:
Before the "Race of the Giants", discover the 6D Aventure. An activity for children and teenagers (aged 6 to 16 years) to do as a family or with an accompanying adult.
The principle is simple, you just have to solve the riddles hidden along the way.
This race with a treasure hunt theme is open to all and offers a fun way of discovering the heritage of the town of Aime La Plagne.
So don't hesitate any longer, young adventurers, be the first to discover these coveted treasures!

9.30am: 6 Découverte, starts and finishes Plagne Centre - 11km, 600m elev. gain.
1.30pm: 6D Kids starts and finishes Plagne Centre - 500m circuit
4.30pm: 6D Bob starts and finishes at the bobsleigh track - straight climb

Friday 29 July
9am: 6D Lacs starts and finishes Plagne Bellecôte - 28km, 1500m elev. gain
4.30pm: 6D Aventure in Aime la Plagne - event for children / parent teams

Saturday 30 July
5am: 6000D starts and finishes Aime la Plagne - 67km, 3400m elev. gain.
5am: 6000D relay in teams of 2, starts and finishes in Aime la Plagne (handover at Roche de Mio) - 67km, 3400m elev. gain, to be run in teams of 2
6am: 6D Marathon starts and finishes in Aime la Plagne - 42km, 2000m elev. gain.
