Guided tour of the cellars and the Kario distillery on reservation

Kario has the following labels: "Entreprise du patrimoine vivant" (EPV), "AB" and "Charte Bio Rhône Alpes".

For more than 115 years, the Brothers of the Holy Family have been producing beverages with beneficial properties, a skilful blend of often rare alpine plants.
More than a century ago, Brother Henri-Marie, herbalist of the Brotherhood of the Holy Family, developed a secret formula.
No less than 32 wild plants, gathered from the four corners of Savoie, Dauphiné and Bugey, and a patient distillation process gave birth to KARIO, a tonic and restorative drink. After a delicate and skilful maceration in oak barrels, some of which can contain up to 18,000 litres, the distillation process is carried out in traditional steam-heated stills.
At the end of your visit, it is advisable to taste and appreciate a vast choice of plant drinks: the famous Kario, a drink with 32 plants, the alcoholic version, the KYLON (23°), the green and yellow STELLINA as a digestive liqueur, our Marc du Bugey (30 years old) aged in barrels of an incomparable finesse, and our latest creation, Holypop, the organic soda which comes in a range of 7 flavours...
