From July 5 to 8, the resort of Les Arcs, a Mecca of downhill mountain biking, will host the 2023 French Championship. Come and support and watch the riders ride down the mythical DH track of "La Cachette"!
The Downhill Mountain Bike Individual race puts athletes against the clock on a downhill track during which they navigate through a succession of lightning fast and difficult technical sections. Each race time lasts between 2 and 5 minutes for a course of 1.5 to 3km. The racer must demonstrate commitment as well as technical skills in order to overcome the obstacles of the course: roots, strong slopes, bumps, rock gardens, big jumps, road gaps and turns. Entertainment guaranteed !
The best athletes of the discipline will be present and will offer us a colourful show to take the lead of the French Cup.
PROGRAM : - Wednesday, July 5: 2:00-5:00 p.m.: walking reconnaissance.
- Thursday, July 6: 8:30-9:15am: group C (U15) practices. 9:15am-12pm: training groups A & B. 12pm-1pm: Elite training 1pm-2pm: group C (U15) training. 14h-17h: training groups A & B. 17h-17h30 : Elite training.
- Friday, July 7: 8:00-9:00 am: Group C (U15) practices. 9-11am: Group B practices. 10h30-12h : group A trainings. 12h-13h : Elite trainings. 13:00-13:20: final round U15, "discovery event". 1:30-4:30 pm: placement round. 16h30-17h : presentation of the top pilots.
- Saturday July 8th : 8-9am: group B practices. 9h-10h : training group A. 10-11am: Elite training. 11h30-12h30 : final round Masters. 1pm-3:30pm: final round and Master.
