From the Maison d’Aussois, follow the Route des Barrages (dam road - same itinerary as hiking itinerary no. 32 - Sétéria bridge), then follow the signs for "Fond d’Aussois". You'll cross a vast Alpine plateau and admire a beautiful corrie which makes an ideal starting point if you're interested in getting familiar with glaciers and how they shape the land.
We recommend this trail to families, even with very young children, because it presents no real difficulties and, better still, it crosses marmot country!
