The climbing crags in La Bérade are divided into 5 sectors. The general style of climbing is athletic on clear granite and mainly on slabs and cracks. The 5 sectors are distanced one from the other, but the beauty of this “Mecque de l'alpinisme” it's a wide compensation. More details of the 5 sectors can be found in the FFME Isère “topo escalade” climbing guide also in the guide book " Escalade à la Bérarde ". The climbing sites are located in the protected area of the Ecrins National Park and the Upper Vénéon natural reserve.
