And what a river... Le Giffre! It rises in the heart of the Sixte-Fer-à-Cheval nature reserve... It is a natural river, which can only be discovered by boat... So, this is your opportunity!
The airboat (an inflatable kayak) is our smallest boat, which provides the biggest thrills! You're closer to water, closer to nature and closer to its strength...
Before setting off, you have an important briefing from the guide: how to read the river, safety instructions and navigation techniques; everything to be able to start with confidence. The guide will be by your side throughout the descent to show you the route to take and ensure your safety.
You get a unique experience through the Gorges de Tines... Look up and admire the 30m cliff around you! There are surprises throughout the 8km descent, from Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval to Samoëns. It's a feast for your senses, and you'll definitely leave with fantastic memories, and maybe a few aches!

Two routes possible: • Discovery course, from 12 years old: set off after the Gorges de Tines gorges and finish in Samoëns (5km) • Sports course, from 14 years old: set off from our base, at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, kayak through the gorges and finish in Samoëns (8 km)
Participants must be 12 years and older Open from 1 May to 30 September; 7 days a week; booking required. Duration: about 2 hours (sports course) Prices: €35 per person (discovery) / €38 per person (sports) Equipment required: a swimsuit, a pair of sports shoes (trainers), a mask (for the shuttle bus) Please remove your jewellery (including wedding rings)
