Taking place at Plaine Dranse the festival strats with the arrival of the shepherds and their herds. Then a mass is celebrated in the open air with, as is traditional, the blessing of the shepherds and cattles.
Throughout the day you will be able to wander among the many stands where craftsmen of all kinds will be exhibiting their creations: paintings and woodcarvings, bell founders, natural and artisanal products, decorative objects, pottery, jewellery....
The various associations of Châtel will also propose you games and animations as well as refreshment stands with food and drinks..
The musical atmosphere is provided by several music groups that perform at different points of the festival throughout the day: folk groups, alphorns, brass bands....
Access to the festival is by foot, chairlift or free shuttle bus. Cars are absolutely forbidden. Throughout the day, free shuttles will run from the village to Pré-la-Joux, then from Pré-la-Joux to Plaine-Dranse. The Pierre-Longue chairlift will operate from 8am to 5.30pm.
