35th Transmaurienne Vanoise 2023
Savoie ()
For this anniversary edition, the Transmaurienne Vanoise by Dare2b has a lot of surprises and new features. Formerly a 6-day event, the Transmau' will last 8 days this year and will start in the resort village of Aussois, before heading to Val Cenis in the middle of the week. In 2023, more than a thousand riders are expected to participate in this X-Country mountain bike stage event in the heart of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise.
4 modes for all levels from 16 to 21 July:
Competition Mode: 5 days of UCI events for a stage race unique in France. 2 courses to choose from and 3 formulas: Parcours 9000, EDF E-Race and Parcours 6000. An event open to all over 1 to 5 days, on a mountain bike
or E-bike.
Ultra Mode: the mode to push your limits. A basic Franco-Italian course of 150km and 4,900m of D+ with loops to be added for those who still want to become Ultra Finishers, by finishing the 260km and 9,500m of D+. All this to be done in a duo and in less than 50 hours!
Hiking Mode: Sports Hiking, EDF E-Rando or Family Hiking: this mode is open to all, over 1 to 5 days, on a mountain bike or E-bike, and from 11 years old. Each day of the week - except Wednesday
dedicated to the Competition Mode - several routes will be proposed, for all levels, with distances from 20 to 45km.
The Children's Mode: reserved for 2-14 year olds, it allows the youngest to discover and learn about the different mountain bike practices, under the eyes of their parents. The Cross-Country, the Downhill and the Drag Race will be on the menu of this new edition. The first two events are registered on the FFC calendar and are part of the Departmental Trophy of Young Mountain bikers of Savoie.
New: a Festival Mode on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July
This is the great novelty of 2023, the Transmaurienne Vanoise launches its Mode Festival, to close the event in style!
On the programme, participants will be able to ride freely on the Aussois and Val Cenis domains and enjoy a unique tour.
For the occasion, the ski lifts of both resorts will be open. The organisation will also set up coaching sessions to allow interested mountain bikers to improve their skills. A trade fair, pump track, concert and films will enliven these two festive days in the heart of Haute Maurienne Vanoise.
