Musée Paccard
Sevrier
Over a period of 225 years, more than 120,000 bells have been made at Paccard bell-founders, some of them breaking world records.
In 1891, the Savoyard company cast the famous "Savoyarde" (the biggest bell in France, weighing 18,835kg). In 1950, 57 replicas of the famous Liberty Bell were made (one for each American state). In 1998, the Bell-founders made a new record with the World Peace Bell (33 tonnes), the biggest swinging bell in the world.
The Musée Paccard invites you to come and discover the expertise of Paccard!
On the programme: guided tour of the workshops, bell-casting (only on Thursdays, with a prior booking), Ars Sonora® concerts (voices and bells), a speciality from Maison Paccard, private tours, etc.
Since 2021, The Musée Paccard suggests ending your tour with a sweet treat at the "Au Paccard Gourmand" tea room. An unforgettable moment in a warm and inviting setting.
New in 2023! Discover the new animation of the Paccard Museum: the Campanist visit and its educational bell tower. This visit will enable you to learn all about the job of the bell maker (the bell tower "garage"...) and to discover the confidential world of the bell tower.
Anne Paccard, ambassador of the House of Paccard, offers you an unforgettable experience, out of time. A moment rich in vibrations and shared emotions...
