Herding dogs are present on this trail (Col de Sosay from the beginning of June to the middle of July and around the lake from the beginning of July to the end of September). Their approach must be done with great caution and certain instructions must be respected.
1/ From the parking lot, take the path towards Cenise. 2/ At the Chalets de Cenise, take the direction of the Lac de Lessy (right). 3/ Go up in the direction of the mountain pasture until under the ridge of Chevry 4/ Cross the mountain pasture in the direction of Jallouvre. You will see the chalets of Britalay. 5/ The path goes to the left and passes under the rocks. 6/ Go up on the flat, pass next to a pond, then take the path which goes along the side of the mountain through a scree and reaches the pass of Sosay (be careful, slippery and dangerous passage in wet weather, be careful). 7/ The arrival at the pass reveals the Lessy lake nestled at the foot of the Aiguille Verte. 8/ Follow the downhill path that leads quietly to the Lessy chalets overlooking the lake. 9/ The return will be on the same path as the first one.
