Description

La Chèvrerie des Thoules offers many activities, by reservation, to help you discover its herd and its various productions. You will discover what goes on behind-the-scenes in their farm, you can enjoy the goats, watch how the cheese is made, try your hand at milking the goats.

In winter :

Visit of the educational farm:
Tuesdays and Thursdays (only Tuesdays outside school holidays)

In the center of the Abondance valley, Caroline and Gérard will introduce you to their passion for goats and mountain agriculture.
You will discover behind the scenes of their farm, you will be able to enjoy the kids and goats, observe the cheese making... learn about milking, while ending the visit with a tasting of their products.
Duration: 1 hour.
Single price: €5 (free - 2 years old).

During visits to the educational farm: sale of pancakes and hot chocolate with goat's milk.

Snack on the farm:
Thursday afternoons (only during school holidays)

Snack on the farm, hosted by Guillaume from "Nature en Conscience".
Discover the time of a snack, the richness of the wild plants of our mountains, their culinary and medicinal uses.
In the program :
- making an apple juice flavored with the scents of our forests;
- mix of fresh goat's cheese with local herbs;
- snack with farm products (homemade cake, homemade bread and jam, goat cheese and Abondance) and preparations made together.
Prices: child - 10 years old: €8; adult: €12.

The fascinating world of bees:
Friday afternoons (only during school holidays)

Family entertainment, discovering the fascinating world of bees with the beekeeper and his educational hive. Activity followed by a tasting of hive products.
Prices: child 5-12 years old: €6; adult: 8€.

In summer :

Mondays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (several tour departures): Visit of the bees in the heart of the educational hive with the beekeeper and making a candle. Activity followed by the goatherd's snack with farm products.
Duration: 1h30.
Prices: child - 10 years €8 - adult €12.

Tuesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (several tour departures): In the center of the Abondance valley, Caroline and Gérard will introduce you to their passion for goats and mountain agriculture.
You will discover behind the scenes of their farm, you will be able to observe the manufacture of cheese, learn how to milk a goat, while ending the visit with a tasting of their products.
Duration: 1 hour.
Prices: €5 per person; free - 2 years.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (several trail departures): departures at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.: with Aline, Medium Mountain Guide, a fun orienteering course and discovery of the Thoules goat farm. Activity followed by the goatherd's snack with farm products.
Duration: 1 hour.
Prices: child - 10 years €8 - adult €12.

Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Pony rides, under the responsibility of a parent, by reservation. At the end of the walk, enjoy a sale of goat's milk pancakes.
Duration: 20 minutes.
Prices: €10 per child.

Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (several tour departures): nature on your plate. Treat yourself to a moment in nature to meet the wild plants of our mountains. Around the goat farm, Guillaume will make you discover their culinary and medicinal uses. We will then associate certain plants picked with fresh goat's cheese. Activity followed by the goatherd's snack with farm products.
Duration: 1 hour.
Prices: child - 10 years €8 - adult €12.

Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Come and create using natural elements or objects to be recycled. Some examples of creations: Bird feeder, carded wool elves, printing of flowers on fabric, chestnut leaf books, etc...
Duration: 1h30.
Prices: €10 per person; activity from 6 years old.

During the visit, crêpes and hot chocolate with goat’s milk are on sale. Sale of our farm products every day. Parking in front of the goat farm, along the RD22, 500m from the tourist office.
